Welcome!

The Methodist Church Chapeltown is a  friendly, family Methodist church, where you will find people of all ages and at many stages of their faith journey. We meet at 10.30am each Sunday for a morning service and offer a warm welcome to anyone who wishes to worship with us. We welcome people of all backgrounds, who want to explore their faith and worship God.  We are a diverse and inclusive congregation and are always happy to see anyone who wishes to join us.  We are found in the heart of Chapeltown and have a range of activities for all to enjoy.

The Methodist Church in Grenoside is part of our church community and services are held in the Reading Room at Grenoside on the first Sunday of each month at 10.30am. Groups and activities are also held throughout the week.

As part of the wider Methodist Church and Christian community, we are called to worship, learning and caring, service and evangelism. As Methodists we believe that we are all created in God`s image and are all one in Christ Jesus.

We offer services for Baptisms, Weddings, Blessings and Funerals.

Our Calling

The Calling of the Methodist church is to respond to the gospel of God's love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission. It does this through:

Worship

Increasing awareness of God's presence and to celebrate God's love.

Learning and Caring

Helping people grow and learn as Christians, through mutual support and care.

Service

Being a good neighbour to people in need and to challenge injustice.

Evangelism

Making more followers of Jesus Christ.
