Memory Lanes

Memory Lanes indoor bowling club and social cafe is The Methodist Church Chapeltown's very own bowling club. We meet weekly on Mondays, from 1:00pm – 3:00pm for fun and friendship. Please contact us to enquire about booking a place.

In the Bowling zone, we offer Boccia (played to a Jack or onto a target), 9-pin skittles, biased carpet bowls, Mölkky and target beanbags. In the social café zone, we offer jigsaws and table games, along with complimentary, refillable cups of tea and coffee. A healthy snack (fruit, cheese & biscuits etc) is always available alongside a treat snack (cake, buns, scones, flapjack etc.). The last half-hour of each session is a time when the whole group gathers for fellowship, sharing, celebrations, a Thought for the Day, prayers and the obligatory eating of cake! We enjoy celebrating people’s achievements at the Club and have a growing range of trophies which are presented weekly.

The club is for people who may be socially isolated, those living with or caring for someone with dementia or other health related concerns. We are dementia accessible, all of our leaders and helpers have undergone Dementia Friends training and bronze, silver and gold dementia awareness training. Please contact us for more information.
